Gyms and recreational centers are starting to understand the value of offering classes and training sessions for those who are brand-new to the physical fitness scene. The majority of gyms will use some minimalist workouts for newbies. These workouts can be less intimidating than the ones all the “meat heads” are doing.
While gyms are now catering to more “beginner” level patrons, some people still feel uncomfortable going to the gym, and would rather workout at home. So, let’s talk about some different types of easy home workouts for beginners…
Most Beginner Home Workouts Focus On Safety
The majority of gyms will provide at least some workouts for novices. Like the novice exercises at the fitness center, they frequently focus on safety and efficiency of motions and offer more comprehensive direction.
Workouts for novices frequently feature a slower speed, a mild instructor, and an inviting environment where individuals of all shapes and sizes can feel comfy. Special individually training sessions can likewise be purchased via online fitness coaching software that’s out there. This permits individuals who are brand-new to fitness regimens to learn how to move their muscles in an effective and safe manner.
With the internet and video formats, you can literally have a trainer showing you how to do the exercise movements in your living room.
Video Formats Are Great For Learning New Exercises
There are other choices you can think about if you are not fond of gyms and choose to get sweaty in the personal privacy of your own home. You might want to check out tapes or DVD’s that include exercises for newbies. Like the newbie workouts at the health club, they typically concentrate on security and effectiveness of motions and use more detailed instructions.
There are literally thousands of video – instructed workout routines available. But, even if you choose a prewritten workout routine, you can just go to YouTube and see how to do any individual exercise.
When you’re first starting out, I highly recommend a workout that’s done in video format, so you can see exactly how to do the proper form for each exercise.
Using proper form is important not only for the obvious reason which is to prevent injury, but you will also get much better results toward your body transformation when you use proper form.
Many Workout Formats That’ll Fit Into Your Life
When we talk about video formats, I’m not just talking about buying DVD’s and playing them on your big flat screen TV in your living room.
If you have an iPod or mp3 player with a video screen you can also discover workouts for beginners that can be carried with you where ever you go to utilize when you have an extra moment. Walking/running programs are incredibly popular and include featured guidelines, increasing your intensity, and of course motivating music.
Today, you can get a great at home easy workout for beginners in so many formats. Of course, my favorite is anything that you can run from your smartphone. There are literally thousands of free and paid apps you can download that include how many sets, reps, and exercises to do. They also have cardio timers of all sorts ranging from just a stopwatch type timer, to cardio-specific times like a Tabata Timer or an interval timer as examples.
There are also apps available to track and record your exercise progress making it really easy and time-efficient to track your progress as you begin your new habit of doing some kind of physical exercise daily. Tracking is crucial to your success both in the short and long-term sense.
They also have apps to track diet and nutrition as well – my personal #1 favorite app out there is MyFitnessPal which helped me track my eating and shed over 60 lbs of fat to reach my body transformation goals.
Plus, these apps can be interlinked with one another so when you log a workout on one it’ll automatically transfer the data to another app. Super cool!
Of course, don’t discredit the good ol’ DVDs and videos. There are some really excellent workouts for beginners on DVD – in fact, most of the DVD type programs are gear for beginners working out from home with limited or zero equipment.
The Best Home Workout For Beginners
So if there are so many options out there, then what is the best workout for those just getting started with their body transformation?
Well, its simple really.
The best workout for anyone – beginner or seasoned gym rat is the one you actually do consistently as prescribed!
Of course, I always recommend seeking out a trainer or coach when starting out toward any new endeavor. This includes a new business, or career, or fitness, or diet, or really anything you do in life.
Having someone guide and mentor you will reduce the time, headache, anxiety and pain you will need to endure to reach your body transformation goals ten-fold. And, any money you invest will be so worth it.
As a former Fire Captain, trainer, and coach, I’m kinda biased here, but please trust me – it’s not bullshit.
Can you succeed on your own?
Of course, you can, but again the best way to reach any destination is move in a straight line. And, having the guidance of someone who had been in your shoes and done what you want to accomplish will reduce the time and effort needed to figure this fitness thing out.
One of the best things a mentor can offer you is move in a custom-designed workout program that will work around your life and circumstances – so that’s my #1 recommendation.
Aside from that, you can purchase DVD beginner at home workouts that are easy and will get you started if you’re not quite ready to fully invest in yourself and hire a coach.
Remember, the BEST workout for you is the one you do consistently and injury free!
Conclusion
Starting something new can be difficult and scary, there are plenty of exercises for newbies that can help you create a healthier way of life. The most important thing is to get started. Don’t focus on perfection. Just focus on developing the habit of doing some exercise every day.
I’m hoping that you got one or 2 nuggets out of this post, and I wanna let you know that it is literally my PURPOSE in life to help people grow and become their best in any area of life – especially fitness!
